KMI has been engaged by Signature Flight Support Corporation as its Program Manager for all of its aviation development obligations from October 2003 to the present time. Signature’s development requirements are typically set forth in the lease or use agreements between Signature and the Port Authority, municipality or other airport owner. Development obligations have typically included Terminal buildings, hangars and ground support shop facilities, parking, ramp and other sitework development.
KMI has overseen Signature’s development projects from their inception to completion, including the bid and award of design and construction agreements, permitting, project procurement and facility construction through final completion, training and the delivery of the project record documents. KMI has provided program management services for projects in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Indiana, Illinois, California, Louisiana, Georgia and Florida. Through the various developments, KMI has served as Signature’s liaison with the Port Authorities, other governing agencies and Signature’s tenants and sub-users.
KMI assisted Signature in successfully responding to a Request for Proposal to become the Fixed Base Operator at Logan International Airport in Boston.
KMI has also assisted Signature in the development of design standards that will help to promote the Signature brand worldwide.
Fort Lauderdale FBO - KMI Fort Lauderdale – FBO
KMI provided program management oversight for the demolition of two existing structures and construction of new ramp space along with site improvements. The project was completed spring 2004.
Jacksonville FBO - KMI Jacksonville – FBO
KMI provided construction oversight for the demolition of existing terminal and construction of a 9,450 SF terminal with parking and landscaped areas. This project completed in the fall of 2004.
Baltimore Mid-Cargo Fuel Farm
KMI provided program management oversight for the construction of a fuel storage facility at BWI’s Mid-Field Cargo complex, which included the installation of two 15,000 gallon jet fuel storage tanks, piping appurtenances, oil water separator, fueling island, and associated site work and roadways. The project was completed in the summer of 2004.
San Francisco International Airport
KMI provided program management for the expansion of the existing terminal building and extensive improvements to existing facilities.
