Kraus-Manning, Inc. was the owner’s representative for this infrastructure project. KMI maintained all construction documents (drawings, specifications, critical path schedules and permits), managed the construction work, and held weekly meetings with the contractor. KMI assured that the project was constructed to International Building Codes and that it met the required budget and schedule.
The project included construction and installation of new power and communication systems utilities as well as 263,000 square feet of roadways, 15,000 linear feet of curbs and swales, 136,000 square feet of parking area, 2,025 linear feet of storm drainage and 115,000 linear feet of electrical ductwork.
Located in the remote Fortuna section of St. Thomas, the infrastructure project is phase one of a multi-phase project, which includes the construction of 52 homes as well as complimentary retail and hospitality amenities.
