Kraus-Manning provided project management services for the design and construction of Signature's executive terminal at Indianapolis International Airport. The Executive Terminal design is a modern design that incorporates a “wing” roof element that floats over the building and provides an iconic identity for the Signature facility. The design allows for natural lighting through clerestory glass, and provides covered drop-off for land side arrivals. The terminal includes:
• Large lobby with a coffee bar, vending areas and seating areas
• Customer service desk
• Conference room, business center and phone/internet rooms
• Flight planning with state-of-the-art network computer systems and maps
• Pilot lounge with video screens, work stations and private showers
• Line support facilities with tower communication, galley kitchen, employee locker facility, break room, training rooms and offices
On March 16, 2006 Signature Flight Support celebrated the grand opening of its new executive terminal at Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The facility, a striking 6,500 square foot glass and steel structure, will serve as the front door to the community's corporate and business travelers—as well as those arriving to participate in the city's numerous car races and other sporting events each year.
"Indianapolis has the reputation of being an elite city for hosting world-class events, and Signature's new terminal will certainly give visitors a great and lasting first impression of Indianapolis,"
- Indianapolis Deputy Mayor Steve Campbell, who helped cut the ribbon on the new facility
