Kraus-Manning, Inc. was the Owner’s construction manager responsible for maintaining all construction documents (drawings, specifications, critical path schedules, permits) and managing all work and production schedules and conducts weekly meetings with the contractor. KMI is responsible for insuring the project is constructed to International Building Codes.

The purpose of this project was to modernize the resort’s existing infrastructure as well as allocating new space for future development. The new infrastructure consists of 3 miles of road and trench work and a 210,000 square foot warehouse.

The project consists of the installation of a new “green” power plant directly connected to the Virgin Islands first wind turbines; a new reverse osmosis potable water generating plant, a new service center incorporating a waste material recycling plant and new docking facilities that will be used for delivering construction materials and supplies. The new green power plant will deliver zero carbon emissions for all energy uses including cooking, washing, and electronic entertainment as well as heating cooling ventilation, lighting, and hot water supply.
