Tony Monaghan, Director of Operations, British Virgin Islands
Tony Monaghan heads the day to day operations for KMI in the British Virgin Islands. Tony has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry, he is a chartered surveyor and an associate of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. His career began working on large construction projects in the United Kingdom such as Airports, Hotels, Hospitals, Office and Residential developments such as the Canary Wharf development. Tony has worked overseas for the past ten years, his portfolio includes the management of the construction of the Mubarak Television Studios (Media City) in Cairo, Egypt and more recently working throughout the Caribbean Islands such as Grenada and the Virgin Islands. In Grenada, Tony helped with relief works following Hurricane Ivan and managed the construction and expansion of the country’s premier five star hotel, Spice Island Beach Resort and well as the reconstruction of the Governments Central Administration Complex. Tony heads a ten strong team of multi skilled construction professionals in the BVI who have been responsible for the successful completion of prestigious projects such the Bitter End Yacht Club renovation, Peter Island Falcons Nest Villas and the Installation of the Virgin Islands first operating wind turbines. The BVI team have strong marine experience and are currently working with the local government to install a new tender pier and jetty for the forthcoming cruise ship season.
